Bitcoin ETF flows — questions answered
What are Bitcoin ETF flows?
The daily net amount of money entering (creations) or leaving (redemptions) US spot Bitcoin ETFs such as IBIT, FBTC, ARKB and BITB. Because these funds must hold real bitcoin, net inflows mean institutions and advisers are buying BTC on the open market; net outflows mean they are selling.
What is the difference between inflows and outflows?
An inflow is new capital creating ETF shares (the fund buys bitcoin); an outflow is capital redeeming shares (the fund sells bitcoin). The table shows the net of the two for each trading day, per fund and in total.
When is this page updated?
Flows are reported after the US market close and published the following morning. This page refreshes automatically several times a day from Farside Investors data; the timestamp above shows the latest sync.
Do ETF flows move the Bitcoin price?
Sustained multi-day inflows have historically coincided with rising prices because the funds buy spot BTC, while heavy redemptions add sell pressure. A single day is noise; the 7-day and 30-day totals above are the more useful signal. This is data, not investment advice.
